About the Artist
I create abstract paintings that explore movement, texture, and emotional rhythm. My work is built through layered strokes, shifting color fields, and intuitive mark‑making that allows each piece to evolve naturally. I paint to capture moments of energy, quiet, tension, or balance—states that feel familiar even when they aren’t representational.
Working primarily in acrylic, I build surfaces that invite close viewing: scraped textures, blended transitions, and gestural marks that hold traces of the process. Each painting belongs to a mood rather than a subject, reflecting the atmosphere of the moment it was made.
I’ve been part of the Artspan community for many years, and my studio practice continues to grow through experimentation, daily discipline, and a love of expressive abstraction. My goal is to create work that resonates—pieces that feel alive, grounded, or contemplative, depending on the viewer’s own experience.
About the Work
My paintings are organized into mood‑based collections: Calm & Serene, Dynamic & Energetic, Ethereal & Dreamlike, Earth‑Rooted & Organic, and Bold & Impactful. These categories reflect how each piece feels rather than what it depicts.
Color, movement, and texture guide the work. Some pieces drift softly across the canvas; others surge with layered marks and contrasting tones. I’m drawn to the tension between control and spontaneity—letting the painting lead while shaping its final balance.
Every artwork is an original acrylic painting, created in my San Diego studio.
